Transition School does not close for extreme weather. Transition School will operate two hours late if either Longview School District or Kelso School District run late start or close school due to weather.
It is important for school to start on time, so students are expected to be in their seats and ready to learn by the 8:45 start time. If tardiness becomes an issue, there will be an email sent out to parents and reporting officers.
Students are expected to come to class ready to learn without distraction. I run a classroom based on respect. I want to give students as much authority over their own learning as possible. Students will be asked to make the right decisions with their education at the forethought of their minds. I will step in if inappropriate decisions are made. Students are to respect each other, the classroom and supplies, as well as form a respectful relationship with me. Students are required to speak up for themselves in a respectful manner and I will do my best to accommodate those requests. If issues persist, an email to parents/guardians and reporting officers will be sent out and disciplinary actions will be made.
