Cowlitz County Drug Court Recipient of Kelso Rotary's 2023 Impactful Program Award

Congratulations to Cowlitz County Drug Court. They are a recipient of Kelso Rotary's 2023 Impactful Program Award.

Cowlitz County Drug Court is a voluntary 12-month program that promotes treatment and public safety. Participants are referred to the program through their attorneys. In the program. Participants receive case management, chemical dependency, mental health, housing, and medical care assistance.

The program benefits the community by reducing court and jail costs and reducing criminal activity.

The program has been responsible for returning countless members of our community back to the community as productive, clean, and sober individuals and has been deemed as one of the "Best in the Country", by a professor at Portland State based on their graduation rates and low recidivism (re-offense) rates.
